We had a BIG weekend that included the Ironman World Championships in Kona! Congratulations to Dwight Lundell who stood on the podium in Kona for the first time in his third appearance, taking 4th place in the 70-74 age group! Dwight turned in a time of 13:39. Needless to say, this is a HUGE accomplishment.
SheriAnne Nelson also competed in Kona. This was her first trip to the Big Island and she put in a stellar performance, coming home in 10:33! She paced her race perfectly, allowing for a solid 3:34 marathon at the end. This was good enough for 30th place in the highly competitive 35-39 age group. Congratulations, SheriAnne!
In local racing, we had the Mesa Sprint and the Tour de Scottsdale. Congrats to all of our racers and, as always, please let us know if we missed you.
