Marlow 1/2 Marathon, UK, Women’s 1/2 Marathon, Phoenix 10k

Yikes, how is it Friday already! Well, here are some slightly tardy race results from last weekend. We have often said that you can PR most shorter races about 3 weeks after an IM as you are in such great aerobic shape. Kim Essendrup raced a ½ marathon in the UK named the Marlow ½ marathon and PR’d the distance at 1:55 exactly three weeks after he raced Kona! Well done, Kim!

Congrats to everyone who raced the Women’s ½ marathon on Sunday. Elaine Rayski finished in 2:17. Lisa Hawkins set her PR at 1:55 and Funmi Aranmolate finished her first ½ marathon in 2:46! In the 5K race, Laura Miles ran to second overall place with a time of 23:09!

Over in the Phoenix 10K, Bella Panchmatia finished in 50:40 which was just a few minutes off of her PR despite fighting a recent hamstring injury. Guarav Parekh finished in 44:07, running 6:53 miles.

Great job everyone!
